According to Mundo Deportivo, Laporta stated that Messi always deserved the Ballon d'Or and confirmed that Raphinha could play against Paris.

Joan Laporta received a tribute in Sitges on Saturday morning, then criticized Real Madrid's stance in the "Negreira case" and their institutional relations in football and basketball. "In Madrid, they talk about other topics to distract attention," he said.
Laporta first praised the team for being in a "sweet moment." "We are enjoying football and the club; Barcelona is recognized worldwide. We have nine world champions in our squad, the team is attractive, with key players, and praise keeps coming from all sides... Madrid, however, tries to downplay all of this," he stated.
Laporta once again referred to Real Madrid's role in the "Negreira case." "I will always say that they wanted to condemn us before judging us. It has been proven that the accusations against us do not exist. This matter will eventually end with Barcelona's innocence. Those who have continuously tried to damage Barcelona's image will eventually have to change their tune," he emphasized.
"The relevant file has been dragged on for as long as possible just to keep the fire burning, but it means nothing. This is simply to tarnish Barcelona's image. I don't believe they are doing this unintentionally," he added.
Laporta also mentioned Real Madrid's absence from institutional meetings of European football clubs and the EuroLeague. "This speaks volumes about a club's attitude; they are losing prestige, recognition, and credibility at the national, regional, and international level. This is a fact. They have chosen a very arrogant and haughty attitude, and they know what they are doing. They should be more self-critical," he pointed out.
Yamal and the Ballon d'Or
After the Ballon d'Or voting concluded, Laporta publicly supported Yamal's bid for the award. "He deserves to win. He had an excellent season and won important titles like the league and the Copa del Rey. He deserves the Ballon d'Or. He thinks so himself, and I think it's good that he expresses it. He is a very frank, direct person, and very young, which must always be remembered. If he wins, I will be very happy. We'll wait and see; everything is highly confidential, and everyone is waiting," he said.
"Yamal is always passionate about showing his football in matches, and his achievements as a player are recognized. His youth brings enthusiasm. I understand that he sometimes speaks out," Laporta continued.
"Now it's a bit like a competition; it wasn't so obvious during the Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo era. For me, the Ballon d'Or always belonged to Messi, but they didn't publicly declare their candidacy back then. We shouldn't exaggerate this. Such a reaction from a 19-year-old is normal, and he will make history," he stated.
Raphinha Ready for Paris
Laporta expressed regret over Raphinha's injury with the Brazilian national team. "He returned injured and recovered here. Our doctors say he will be able to play against Paris. These are situations we must accept," he emphasized.
"This is a big setback for the club, almost like starting pre-season late. We can't change this season. We must fight with the current squad. We knew this long ago and were prepared," he concluded.
