Ahead of Barcelona's away Champions League match against Galatasaray, defender Cubarsi represented the team at the pre-match press conference.

On defending against Osimhen and the threat of Galatasaray
Osimhen and I faced each other four years ago. We expect to face an opponent with a very clear strategy because they're playing at home, so it's important that we are very careful from the start.
How is your fitness?
Since the World Cup, I've played many matches, and the coach has consciously managed my playing time. I've also tried my best to take care of myself.
You've maintained a perfect winning record since the start of the season. Do you think you are invincible?
No, because every game is different, but we are in great form and hope to continue our current run.
Regarding the controversial refereeing decisions in Real Madrid's match last weekend
I don't pay attention to that topic. My focus is on my club and our matches. We're not very interested in outside matters.
Many strong teams have faltered in Istanbul
We know Galatasaray's strength and what kind of stadium and atmosphere we're coming into. We must play our style and pay attention to details.
You've achieved so much at a young age, but people seem to take it for granted?
Yes, possibly. I'm only 19, and my career is just starting. I'm experiencing many new things, but I won't use that as an excuse. Age doesn't matter; I have to do what others do. I must work hard, stay true to myself, and be competitive.
Barcelona has not kept a clean sheet in the Champions League since last season
This is a challenge, and it's one of the most important things because a clean sheet helps you win games, especially in a stadium like this. We need to improve in this area, but we will. We've made great progress.
The possibility of De Jong playing as a center-back
De Jong is outstanding; he's one of the best in the world in his position, and he will have a great season. Due to physical reasons, he couldn't join us for this match. He will perform at a high level in his own position, and his good health is very important for all of us.
After this summer, have you found yourself to be more confident?
I've matured a bit. This summer was a significant point in my career. I've always been confident, and now I'm even more so, but forwards will always try to cause me trouble, so I must be strong.
Were you surprised that Yamal publicly claimed he deserves the Ballon d'Or?
Everyone knows Lamine Yamal is the best in the world, even if he doesn't say it. He certainly deserves the Ballon d'Or. Based on my performances in the World Cup and last season, I could also have been nominated, but I'm a quieter person, and he gets more media attention.
How will you defend against Osimhen?
As I said earlier, I played against him a few years ago. My preparation for this match is the same as always: taking it seriously. He is one of the best forwards in the world, and our focus must be very high.
What is the biggest challenge of playing against Galatasaray here?
Everyone knows the pressure you feel in this stadium. It's a very intimidating stadium, and the first few minutes will be difficult, but the team is eager to show good quality and stay focused. Galatasaray is a good team and capable of causing us problems.
Goalkeeper Livakovic returning to familiar ground
I haven't had a chance to talk to him yet, but we do know the kind of pressure we'll feel here, and we must be very focused.
