Di Maria was interviewed after Rosario Central's 1-0 victory over Argentinos Juniors, where he discussed Messi's farewell match.

Di Maria confirmed he will attend Messi's national team farewell match on October 6 at Estadio Monumental, when Argentina plays Benin.

Di Maria said, "I have to be at the stadium, right? I have to go see it. We play Banfield on the 5th, so I might stay there—it's on the way, I'll be right there, haha."

He was not included in the current Argentina national team squad, but he clearly does not want to miss this historic match.

Di Maria stated, "After so many years, it will be tough for the Argentine national team without Messi. Given everything he has brought to the entire world, we will enjoy his last day with the national team."
