Cafu defended Ancelotti during a lecture in Goiânia. The former Brazil right-back praised Ancelotti's "excellent work" ahead of Brazil's first match after the World Cup, calling for more time and patience as the team builds toward the 2030 World Cup.

Cafu stated: "Considering the time Ancelotti has been coaching, his work has been very good. If he could win the World Cup, that would be even better. Now he has the opportunity to do excellent work and compete for the title in four years. There is time, but it requires time for training and adaptation."

Cafu added: "We have had many injury problems, and some important players were not selected for the World Cup squad, but Ancelotti's work has been excellent. We just need confidence and composure so that he can complete the rest of the work."
