On September 19th at 3 a.m. CEST, the Austrian Football Association officially announced that Laimer has suffered an injury.

Official announcement from the Austrian Football Association:

Laimer will miss Austria's first Nations League match against Israel on September 24 and the second match against Kosovo on September 27. According to Bayern, the 29-year-old midfielder has sustained a minor injury to his left adductor muscle.

However, there remains a possibility that he could rejoin the squad later in the international break for the two away matches against Ireland on October 1st and Kosovo on October 4th. A decision on a possible replacement will be made on Sunday.
