Former Juventus player Marchisio criticized some Juventus fans for turning away and chanting during the moment of silence for Mazzola.

Former Juventus midfielder Marchisio said: "Some things are really hard to accept. What happened yesterday is one of them. Sandro Mazzola is part of our football history, and history should be respected. Juventus and its fans gave me a very important part of my life. I know how much love, passion, and respect is behind that jersey, and because of this, I think it must be said without hesitation that actions like yesterday should not happen."

Marchisio added: "Competition is passion, belonging, and pride, but it can never erase respect. Whether it's for people, for champions, or for everything Mazzola represents for Italian football. Yesterday, many people, both in the stadium and at home, applauded. At such moments, this is what sports should do: unite."
