According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Italian Minister for Sport and Youth Affairs Andrea Abodi discussed the potential receivership of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) and Mancini's position.

Speaking at the launch of the fifth Sky Up The Edit event, Abodi stated: "Over the past 20 years, the football system has not always handled issues with the same standards. This is neither a personal nor a political issue, and trying to frame it as such will only create confusion. We don't need to do that; there are many problems to solve, but the issues raised by the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) will not halt other work. If someone politicizes this, they are merely trying to muddy the waters and will also embarrass CONI."

"I believe the priority is to restart work on the pitch. We must maintain stability and not interfere with sports projects, then address this issue that has garnered widespread attention. Ultimately, the Executive Board and the National Council will make a decision, and relevant opinions and assurances are already in place. As someone responsible for overseeing CONI, I have a duty not to intervene to avoid disrupting the work."

Regarding whether Mancini's tenure is linked to the fate of CONI President Giovanni Malagò, Abodi said: "Mancini can and must work with peace of mind; his position is not in question. I support and approve Malagò's choice, and I believe Mancini can provide the extra push needed for a fresh start. Linking these two matters would only create confusion, especially misleading the public. Players and staff are working calmly and are unaffected."

When asked about Petrucci's statement that CONI's two vice-presidents, Bianchedi and Di Paola, consistently vote against President Buonfiglio, Abodi remarked: "Overall, I am more concerned about a single voice than differing opinions. If expressed appropriately, differing opinions are part of democracy. However, it is worth considering that two individuals entrusted with important roles due to their reliability cannot maintain that trust."

"These are internal choices within CONI, but such relationships typically don't last long. Vice-presidents have the right and responsibility to express their opinions, but if they always take an opposing stance, a decision must be made."
