The Copa Libertadores may be the most prestigious club competition in South American football, but there was an amateur feel in one game this week.

Atletico Mineiro of Brazil took on Uruguayan side Defensor Sporting, but, bizarrely, there were no electronic boards available for the fixture as they were locked in an office.

As a result, the fourth official had to make do and used his initiative as he displayed hand-drawn signs indicating the amount of time remaining and the squad numbers of substitutes.

The game, in the third qualifying stage of the competition, ended goalless, with Atletico's Jose Welison being sent off.

Despite ending the game with ten men, Atletico prevailed 2-0 on aggregate.

Atletico will now take part in the group stages where they will face Nacional, Cerro Porteno and Zamora.

In 2013 Atletico won what remains their only Copa Libertadores title in their history.
