Iker Casillas has stated in an interview that Mourinho's second spell managing Real Madrid differs significantly from his first, according to Goal.

During Mourinho's first tenure at Real Madrid (2010–2013), Casillas was a crucial player for the club, and together they won the Copa del Rey and La Liga titles. However, due to disagreements between the two, relations between Mourinho and the club deteriorated during the 2012–2013 season, when Casillas was excluded from the squad.
In Mourinho's Netflix documentary, Casillas stated that he had "deteriorated" and criticized Mourinho for maintaining close relationships with Barcelona players during the club's trophy-winning periods.
Casillas told French newspaper L'Équipe that "things were not going well" after Mourinho's arrival.
Before Mourinho's second return, Casillas acknowledged his professionalism but stated on social media that he did not want to see Mourinho return to Real Madrid. Reports also emerged that former club president Enrique Riquelme, who had opposed Mourinho's return, was being considered for a management position. Riquelme had supported the 2010 World Cup-winning goalkeeper.
Change of Perspective
However, in recent statements, Casillas has expressed a more positive view of Mourinho. On the social media channel of Atletico Madrid assistant coach Burgos, Casillas stated that the Mourinho he sees now is "different" from when he last managed Real Madrid.
"Jose is different," Casillas said. "He's a successful manager, he's qualified, he has all those things, but he's come back with different ideas."
The goalkeeper refrained from discussing the past in detail, saying only "I'm still laughing about it, I have many memories."
