Valencia sporting director Braulio Vázquez stated that the team's immediate priority is to become competitive as quickly as possible, and he believes he will have significant influence over the club's decisions.

Braulio was appointed Valencia's sporting director on September 23. He outlined his plans and key decisions, including appointing Javier Aguirre as head coach and supporting the dismissal of the club's head of medical services, López Mateu.

Braulio said: "I believe in what they told me. My initial decisions speak for themselves. As they say in Valencia, 'actions speak louder than words.' Fans want to see results. Yes, I will have a real say in decisions."

He added: "I put Aguirre's name forward in a report, and now he is here. I don't know what the future holds, but everything I discussed with Quique has been delivered."

Speaking about the team's objectives, Braulio stated: "The goal is to become competitive as soon as possible, because we need to. The team is currently in second-to-last place with just 1 point, so the situation is critical. The connection between the fans and the team is also crucial. Setting long-term objectives is important, of course, but for now, the head coach has a few weeks of training to get to know the players before the match against Racing Santander."
