As Manchester City prepare to face Liverpool in a highly anticipated clash, the Manchester Evening News has compiled an update on the recovery progress of the club's injured players.

Semenyo
Semenyo was forced to withdraw from the Ghana squad during the international break, giving Manchester City an injury scare.
Semenyo has suffered a leg injury, and it remains to be seen whether the winger will be able to face Liverpool on Sunday.
Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku told Asempa FM last month: “Anthony [Semenyo] spoke to the coach and told him, ‘If you need me, I’ll come back and have the medical team examine me again, but the fact is that my leg is swollen and we need to treat it.’”
“As a leader, if you want to understand your players—in this particular situation, we understand the player and know how honest they are in circumstances like this—you have to ask yourself whether to let Anthony continue his recovery so he can be ready for Manchester City and Ghana during the next international window, or let Anthony fly back to Ghana for an MRI scan, only to have him return because he is unable to play.”
“His leg is swollen.”
Potential return: away to Liverpool in the Premier League
Nico O'Reilly

Nico O'Reilly picked up an injury during the international break after featuring in England's 2-3 defeat to Spain last month.
O'Reilly subsequently withdrew from the Three Lions squad and returned to Manchester City for “further assessment.”
It is not yet clear whether the defender will be able to play for Manchester City against Liverpool this weekend.
Foden
Manchester City will be without Foden for their match against Liverpool, with the playmaker serving the third game of a three-match suspension after being sent off in last month’s Manchester derby.
Foden has already missed the League Cup victory over Norwich and the Premier League win against Sunderland, while the match against Liverpool will be the last game he misses through suspension.
Potential return date: in the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain
