Sevilla Atletico striker Joao Maleck will be charged with homicide in his native Mexico following a car crash which left two dead.

The victims were aged 35 and 26 and they died after the footballer's car crashed into their vehicle.

Some witnesses have also reportedly claimed that the 20-year-old player's car was travelling above the speed limit.

Mucho Deporte report how the footballer was found with alcohol in his bloodstream following the incident and he will now be trialled.

The Mexican youth international striker joined the Andalusian club in January on a loan deal with an option to buy, it has been confirmed.

The 20-year-old joined Porto B on loan from Santos Laguna in 2017 but switched to Sevilla Atletico in January with the Andalusian club holding an option to buy.
