On July 18, EFL Championship club Birmingham officially announced that the club has extended the loan of Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper James-Beadle.

Official Announcement
Birmingham City Football Club is delighted to confirm that goalkeeper James Beadle will return on loan from Premier League Brighton & Hove Albion for the duration of the season, subject to EFL and FA approval.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper, who played for the team at St. Andrew's Knighthead Park last season, is returning to the squad.
Beadle is an England U21 international and made 38 appearances in all competitions last season, playing a key role under Chris Davies as the team finished tenth in the Championship, their best league finish in a decade.
The 6ft 7in goalkeeper has gained considerable experience at a young age, having previously been on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City, accumulating nearly 100 Championship appearances.
Beadle has represented England at various youth levels since childhood, making 16 appearances for the England U21s to date.
Last summer, he played in all six matches, helping the Young Lions successfully defend the UEFA European U21 Championship in Slovakia; he was also called up to train with the senior England squad before the UEFA Nations League in September 2024.
After continuous development last season, Beadle has rejoined Birmingham City for his second season with the team. Head coach Chris Davies is strengthening his squad in preparation for the 2026-27 season.
