According to Alasdair Gold, Tottenham Hotspur's chief correspondent for Football.London, on July 21st, Beijing time (CEST), Tottenham Hotspur sold Lankshear to Middlesbrough for £20 million.

Tottenham Hotspur has reached a transfer fee agreement with Middlesbrough to sell Lankshear for £14 million, which could ultimately reach £20 million through add-ons.

Lankshear has not yet agreed to personal terms with interested clubs, but Middlesbrough is in a strong position. The striker will only leave if assured of sufficient playing time for his development.
