Brazilian legend D.Alves reminisced about his peak years at Barcelona during an interview on the podcast "Cash Luna".

"When I came to Barcelona from Sevilla, they taught me that you have your position, and you have to hold your position, but don't overstep, because others are also holding their positions. That way, I had much less to do than at Sevilla, but the results were much better. I barely broke a sweat. I would walk off the field and say, 'Did we even play a football match?' And we'd win 5-0," the former player said.
He went on to say, "I'll give you another detail: usually, players who play on Sunday don't train on Monday. They rest, get massages, and do recovery training. I would go to training because I was essentially resting on Sunday. Guardiola would say, 'This guy is a bit abnormal, but I accept it,' because I would say that I did almost nothing on Sunday, so I had to do something on Monday. So I would train with the players who didn't play."
"Guardiola taught us that your piece is enough, your responsibility is enough, don't do someone else's job," he concluded.
