According to Sport1, Bayer Leverkusen loaned out German U19 international Luca Erelein just one day after signing him as a defender. He will join Cottbus next season.

Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Kim Falkenberg stated: "By loaning him to Cottbus, we hope Luca will get as much playing time as possible in the 2. Bundesliga, thus taking an important step. We are fully confident that he will be able to make the jump to the Bundesliga in the future."
Bayer Leverkusen announced last Sunday that they had signed Erelein to a contract until 2030. The Heidelberg-born player came from Hoffenheim, mainly playing for their third team. He played every game in the U19 European Championship in early July.
