Beijing Time (CEST) July 30th, Lausanne Sport officially announced that Manchester United's 21-year-old defender, Tyler Fredricson, has joined the club on a contract until 2029.

Lausanne Sport Football Club is delighted to announce that the club has reached an agreement with Manchester United to officially and permanently sign English center-back Tyler Fredricson. The player has signed with the team until June 30, 2029.

Fredricson, born on February 23, 2005, in Poynton, South Manchester, came through the renowned Manchester United Academy. He quickly distinguished himself with his mature playing style, excellent positioning, superb ball distribution, and leadership qualities. In the 2021-22 season, he played a crucial role in the Red Devils' U18 team winning the FA Youth Cup.

Between 2022 and 2026, he continued to develop in Manchester United's U21 team, becoming one of the core players. His consistent performance and sense of responsibility led him to wear the captain's armband multiple times.

While progressing through the youth ranks, he also regularly participated in first-team training. As early as 2022, he was included in the squad for the Europa League match against Real Sociedad. He then made his Premier League debut, starting for Manchester United against Wolves; two days later, he again featured in the match against Brentford.

Last season was relatively challenging for him personally. Competition in the team's defensive line was fierce, and his first-team appearances were limited, while two injuries also hampered his development rhythm in the U21 team.

He has now fully recovered and arrived in Lausanne in good physical condition, having already participated in several team training sessions.

At just 21 years old, Fredricson possesses a playing resume rarely seen at his age, having come from a world-class top club's youth academy and having two Premier League starts.
