According to FourFourTwo, former Sweden national team coach Graham Potter recently engaged with fans on social media and appeared to mock a former club as "dysfunctional." However, Potter did not explicitly state whether he was referring to Chelsea or West Ham United.

On Thursday, Potter posted a photo of himself doing Pilates on social media. A fan commented jokingly: "I hope you're better at Pilates than you were as a football manager."

Potter replied: "I'll try not to do Pilates in a dysfunctional place, then I should be fine." He also included a flexing biceps emoji.

It is unclear which former club Potter was referring to. Potter previously managed Brighton, Chelsea, and West Ham United, and his two Premier League stints after leaving Brighton were unsuccessful.

Potter managed Brighton for three years, leading the team to their best ever top-flight finish in 2022. He then joined Chelsea but won only 20 of 31 games in charge and was sacked less than eight months after taking over.

After nearly two years out of management, Potter took over West Ham United in January 2025. This spell was also short-lived, lasting until September 2025, when the team was in 19th place in the Premier League. Potter was subsequently sacked.

Currently, 51-year-old Potter coaches the Sweden national team. At this summer's European Championship, he led the team out of the group stage before losing 3-0 to France in the knockout round and failing to advance further.

Beyond the "dysfunctional" reply, Potter continued to interact with other fans.

Another fan commented: "But you didn't mind taking the money, did you?"

Potter directly replied: "Of course not."

Another West Ham United fan wrote: "You relegated us, you idiot."

Potter replied with only two laughing emojis.

FourFourTwo notes that there is still no clear answer as to whether Potter was referring to Chelsea or West Ham United.

However, West Ham United were relegated in the season after Potter's departure, while Chelsea has experienced frequent managerial changes in recent seasons. Since Potter's time at the club, Chelsea has had multiple managers within three years and is currently managed by Enzo Maresca.
