According to official news from Schalke 04, 19-year-old midfielder Luca Podlech has signed a professional contract until 2029.

Podlech has been with Schalke 04 since the U9 academy. The Bottrop-born player recently made his Bundesliga debut in a 0-0 home draw against Bayern Munich.
