Millwall goalkeeper Filip Marschall appeared to allege that West Ham forward Taty Castellanos spat at him during a heated Dockers Derby at The Den.

The flashpoint came in the second half with the hosts 2-0 up and cruising in a dominant display against the Hammers, who started the day top of the Championship table.

The shot stopper could be seen dabbing his shirt to his face in astonishment, before appearing to tell referee Paul Tierney: 'He spat at me.'

No sanction was handed to the striker after the accusation. West Ham have denied their player spat at Marschall.

According to Sky Sports, Millwall staff have lodged a formal complaint with officials. Daily Mail Sport has contacted Millwall for comment.

West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo said: 'I didn't see it, I didn't see it, so I am not going to comment on it.'

The Hammers went on to score two goals to leave The Den with a share of the points, with the game ending 2-2.

In December last year, Burnley's Hannibal Mejbri was given a four-match ban and a £15,000 fine after he spat at Leeds fans.

In December 2024, Norwich's Borja Sainz was hit with a six-game suspension and a £12,000 fine for spitting during a Championship defeat by Sunderland.
