Italian Football Federation President Gabriele Gravina condemned some Juventus fans for turning their backs during the moment of silence for Sandro Mazzola.

When asked whether collective punishment should be implemented, Gravina stated: "No, now is the time to precisely and scientifically identify those who have shamed the other 99% of fans. This incident saddens me greatly. They showed no respect for the passing of a great player; Mazzola once served the nation as an athlete, and his family also has ties to the city of Turin."

"This sets us back, a stark contrast to the dignified moment of silence held in memory of Franco Baresi. This incident makes us sad and disappointed; the problem still lies in culture. As president, a football lover, and a fan, I hope those involved are punished, because Juventus is absolutely a victim in this incident, there is no doubt about that."
