Italy's Minister of Sport and Youth discussed the Napoli stadium project for EURO 2032 and provided an update on its progress.

Andrea Abodi, Italy's Minister of Sport and Youth, commented on the renovation of the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona: "I am very confident because the project I have seen has everything necessary to bid to host EURO 2032". He added: "I can hardly imagine a European Championship without Napoli, but Napoli is trying to reclaim rights that are inherent to them through this project, and they must earn that on merit."

Abodi made these remarks in Napoli at an event marking the countdown to the 2027 America's Cup. He also provided an update on the stadium project: "Work at the Maradona Stadium continues to be driven forward by the region and city. We will continue to provide technical support, collaborating with the work being carried out by Commissioner Sessa, to see if we can provide additional financial support."
