According to Greek media outlet SPORT24, Levadiakos has made a significant acquisition, signing 34-year-old Egyptian defensive midfielder and former Arsenal player Mohamed Elneny.

Levadiakos has completed a major transfer. According to SPORT24, the Boeotian club has reached an agreement with 34-year-old Egyptian defensive midfielder Mohamed Elneny, who will join the Livadia-based team.

This deal marks the biggest transfer in Levadiakos' history, bringing an accomplished player to the Greek Super League. The agreement is for one year, with Levadiakos utilizing the free agent market to complete the signing.

Elneny's resume is impressive. He made 161 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 6 goals. He was with Arsenal from 2016 to 2024, including a loan spell at Beşiktaş.

He won the FA Cup with Arsenal in 2017 and two Community Shields in 2018 and 2021. He made 72 appearances under Arsène Wenger and 71 under Mikel Arteta.

Elneny came through the Al Ahly academy before joining El Mokawloon and then transferring to Basel in 2013. He made 144 appearances for the Swiss club and won four league titles.

In the 2019/20 season, he was loaned from Arsenal to Beşiktaş, making 36 appearances. For the past two seasons, he played for Al Jazira in the UAE before becoming a free agent after his contract expired.
