Juventus are reportedly making Olympique de Marseille’s Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (31) one of their priorities for the upcoming winter transfer window, according to reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Having been on the verge of leaving France a few weeks ago, the midfielder ultimately – and against all expectations – turned down a move to Newcastle United to remain at OM. A decision that particularly angered Frank McCourt, the club’s owner, who saw his sale as a golden opportunity to balance the books.
However, although he has now re-established himself in Bruno Genesio’s team (six starts and one goal in six appearances), it is still possible that Højbjerg could leave Marseille in January. All the more so as Juventus believe they are in a position to persuade him to join them, as they are on the lookout for an experienced midfielder.
But for the Vecchia Signora, signing the Dane will be no easy task, with Fiorentina also reportedly having set their sights on the former Tottenham Hotspur player.
