Ahead of Portugal's match against Denmark, head coach Jorge Jesus told Sport TV that he had a clear conscience regarding Ronaldo's departure from the training camp and would provide further explanation after Sunday's match against Norway.

Ronaldo had previously left the Portuguese national team's training camp following a conflict with the head coach. Jesus did not elaborate extensively on the matter but stated clearly that his conscience was clear.
"My conscience is completely clear," Jesus said. "These past few hours have been incredibly busy because we've already played two matches, and now we're about to play another. As for anything else, I've been in football for many years, and I know I haven't done anything wrong."
Jesus stated that he would address the topic again after Sunday's match against Norway, while also emphasizing Ronaldo's importance to the team.
"For now, let's focus on this match, then there's the match at the Estádio do Dragão, and after that, we'll talk about this. We won't avoid it," Jesus said. "Because no one can deny it—he is an icon, an important figure. There's no doubt about that."
Later, in an interview with RTP, Jesus reiterated the same position.
"The most important thing now is to focus on the match," Jesus said. "After that, we'll go to the Estádio do Dragão and focus on that match. Then we'll certainly have time to discuss this."
Félix was not in the starting lineup for the Copenhagen match. Jesus explained to Sport TV that this decision was based on his physical condition. "He's not 100% fit yet," Jesus said. "I could have risked playing him, but this is already the third match, and if I did, he might not be able to play in the match at the Estádio do Dragão."
Compared to the previous match, Jesus made four changes to the starting eleven, introducing Rúben Neves, Vitinha, Bruno Fernandes, and Rafael Leão. Regarding these substitutions, Jesus explained: "This is the third match, and also the most demanding one. After a team plays the first and second matches, by the third match, it becomes very difficult for players who participated in the first two, especially forwards. For defenders, it's somewhat easier because their positions are relatively fixed. We made four changes with players who are more physically fresh and can provide stability to the team. We chose Rafael Leão because of his exceptional one-on-one ability, and Denmark's right-back is a centre-back who also operates as a full-back, which means Leão won't need to track back too deep. This should make it easier for him to play and better utilize his strengths."
When asked by a Sport TV reporter if he had promised Ronaldo 30 minutes of playing time, Jesus clarified: "I didn't say that to him. What I told him directly was: 'If you tell me we need to put you on, we will put you on.'"
