Transfermarkt Germany has updated the latest LaLiga player market values. Real Madrid players saw their total value increase by €46 million, reaching €1.5 billion, while Barcelona players' total value rose by €33.2 million, reaching €1.3 billion. Brazeau, the market value coordinator for Transfermarkt's LaLiga section, offered his insights.

"Both clubs have 27 players in their squads, with Barcelona having a slightly lower average age. However, in the end, all players are evaluated individually, not as a team, resulting in the overall value of the players. Most of Barcelona's players come from their youth academy, so their value has significant appreciation potential. Real Madrid, on the other hand, tends to bring in young, promising players or players in their prime from external sources to strengthen their squad; therefore, transfer fees often serve as reference points that influence a player's market value – such as the transfer fee for Jan Diomande. However, a team's overall value can change rapidly, with significant shifts possible within just a few months."
The biggest winner in this market value update is Jan Diomande, Real Madrid's major signing, whose value increased by €30 million to €120 million. This rise in value is largely attributed to the €125 million transfer fee paid by Real Madrid, as it is still too early to evaluate the performance of the Ivorian international, who has yet to fully replicate his excellent form from the Bundesliga. The next two biggest winners are two promising Spanish stars, Óscar Mingueza and Espart, who play for Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively, and have performed exceptionally well.
Commenting on Óscar Mingueza, Brazeau said: "Óscar Mingueza quickly proved that the €25 million transfer fee Real Madrid paid was an absolute bargain. Shortly after signing him, Real Madrid loaned out talented forward Gonzalo García to England for €40 million. This decision by Real Madrid proved to be correct; despite limited playing time, Óscar Mingueza has already demonstrated the excellent performance he displayed at his former club, Levante. His balanced shooting ability with both feet, outstanding heading skills, and aggressive pressing tactics make him a rare top-tier center forward in the market, naturally commanding a high value."

Barcelona has seen many young stars emerge, but Espart is undoubtedly the brightest among them. "The Spanish U21 international already had opportunities to play in LaLiga and the Champions League under Flick last season, and now, as a left-back, he has played in all four of Barcelona's opening league matches and has become an important option for the coach. With his versatility, he can excel not only in his previous main right-back position but also in multiple roles such as left-back, defensive midfielder, or central midfielder. This summer, he won the European U19 Championship with the Spanish U19 youth team and has carried that momentum into the new season. His current market value is likely just the first step in its ascent. His journey with Barcelona – having joined the club's youth academy in 2015 – is only just beginning."
