Inter Milan legend Alessandro Altobelli discussed Sandro Mazzola, Lautaro, Pio Esposito, and Nerazzurri prospects in the Champions League in a recent interview.

Speaking about Sandro Mazzola, Altobelli said: "How can I describe him to those who have never seen him play? Those who have never seen him play have truly missed out on a lot. Sandro was a great player for Inter Milan and the Italian national team, and later became an extraordinary director."

When asked about Mazzola's place in Italian football history, Altobelli stated: "If I were an Inter fan, I would rank him first in Inter's history."

Regarding Lautaro approaching his goal to become Inter Milan's second all-time leading scorer, Altobelli commented: "Being second or first doesn't really matter (laughs). I hope he catches up with me as soon as possible, because I am an Inter fan: the more goals he scores, the better Inter's chances of winning. I wish him all the best."

Discussing Pio Esposito, Altobelli said: "His father and brother have always been in Brescia, and we often meet there, so I consider them my successors. Pio has certainly proven himself to be a very strong player who loves the jersey, and I don't know how far he can go in the future. He could go very far because he is an extraordinary striker."

Regarding whether Inter Milan can win the Champions League this year, Altobelli said: "I hope so. I myself never managed to do it, although I came very close and scored many goals. Fortunately, I won the World Cup! (laughs)"
