Rio Ferdinand stated that if Manchester City were to be stripped of their 2011-12 Premier League title, he would ask David Gill about the title-winning bonus.

The Premier League's independent commission found Manchester City guilty of breaching financial rules, upholding all 115 charges against the club. Manchester City denies wrongdoing and has appealed the decision.
Manchester City's appeal has left the football world awaiting potential sanctions against the club. Speculation suggests Manchester City could face penalties ranging from points deductions to expulsion from the Premier League.
Discussions surrounding Manchester City's alleged financial rule breaches have also extended to whether the club should be stripped of significant titles. If Manchester City were to be stripped of the 2011-12 Premier League title and the trophy retrospectively awarded to Manchester United, Ferdinand could potentially receive another Premier League winner's medal.
The 47-year-old former Manchester United defender stated on a podcast that if Manchester City fails to clear its name, former Manchester United CEO David Gill would be one of the first people he would contact. Ferdinand joked that he would ask Gill about his potential 2012 Premier League title bonus.
Ferdinand said: "If the court finds them guilty and we are consequently awarded the Premier League title, then I'll have to talk to Mr. David Gill about my title bonus."
He added: "That would be a very interesting conversation. I need to get my title bonus. Believe me."
On the final day of the 2011-12 Premier League season, Ferdinand's Manchester United lost out to Manchester City. Gill was a key figure during Sir Alex Ferguson's tenure at Manchester United and left the club alongside Ferguson in 2013.
