Sneijder discussed anecdotes and characteristics of his Inter Milan treble-winning squad teammates in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport at a sports festival.

Sneijder said: "The funniest was Pandev—he always had a quick comeback. The easiest to anger was Eto'o; tease him just a little and he'd get mad. Of course, I teased him too."

On his teammates' characteristics, Sneijder commented: "I was never the first to arrive, so I don't know who was there before me—probably Zanetti. The most humble was everyone: we were all very calm, aware of our abilities and what we needed to do. We didn't have superstars, but we played as one unit. The person who believed in us most was Mourinho, and among the players, it was Materazzi. The fastest was Eto'o, the most skilled was me, and Balotelli had the hardest shot."
