Celta de Vigo coach Giráldez believes the team can overcome their slump and is looking forward to securing their first win of the season against Racing Santander.

Claudio Giráldez believes that Celta de Vigo are doing more things right than wrong. As long as they improve their performance in the attacking third, the team can get back on track. He hopes for a victory against Racing Santander that can "unlock everything" and allow the team to enter the international break with "a different feeling." Aspas and David Antón are out due to injury, while Iglesias is available but can only play for a maximum of 45 minutes.

Giráldez stated in the pre-match press conference: "The team is dissatisfied and eager to start collecting three points. We want to play a good game in front of our fans and start winning. Giráldez believes that Celta de Vigo needs to adapt to the new situation where opponents are increasingly using deep defensive blocks: "Opponents are defending deeper, and we must learn to attack compact defensive formations, which also demands greater precision in the final touch." He hopes that key players such as Iglesias, Aspas, and Carles Pérez will return in the coming rounds, providing more attacking options for breaking down low blocks.

Giráldez said: "Some players have not yet reached their individual best, and the team's coordination in the attacking third is not good enough. We must solve these problems. Compared to this same period last season, I am more confident in the team's performance across many phases of the game. To score goals, the most important thing is to believe that our current players are capable of doing so."

Giráldez also believes that the international break will help injured players recover, new signings adapt, and improve overall team coordination: "Our players have all shown they can score and have the ability to break down defenses. This break will help players who were previously out of form or are currently unavailable, and it will also allow players who joined late in the transfer window to integrate better. We are only seeing the negative side now because we want to win, and being unable to win is frustrating, but the team also has many positive factors at the moment."

Giráldez affirmed Celta de Vigo's defensive organization and attacking structure. He stated that the team has encountered fewer problems in building play from the back when facing high pressing this season compared to last season. Celta de Vigo has done many things that bring them closer to victory, and now needs to remain patient and persevere. The players have the ability to score, but the team currently lacks clinical finishing.

When discussing Racing Santander and their coach José López, Giráldez said: "This is a difficult team to defend against. They will have many players near the ball.
