Reporter David Ornstein pointed out that he is not optimistic about Hall's transfer to Manchester United, because Newcastle United is indeed firm in its stance, and at the same time, although Manchester United has always planned to introduce a third midfielder, there is currently no clear main direction.

David Ornstein explained why Manchester United has not yet finalized a third new midfielder: "Bringing in a third midfielder has long been part of the team's plan, which is already well known to the outside world. After Eddie Howe leaves office, Newcastle United's desire to retain Hall may become even stronger."
