According to RMC Sport, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), the owner of Paris Saint-Germain, officially completed the acquisition of Belgian second-division club KAS Eupen on Thursday, becoming the sole owner of the club. QSI has been responsible for KAS Eupen's sports management since December 2025.

QSI stated in an official announcement: "Qatar Sports Investments is pleased to announce that the acquisition of KAS Eupen has been completed. QSI is now the sole owner of the club, having assumed responsibility for KAS Eupen's sports management since December 2025."

QSI stated that the two parties have been working closely together for some time to establish the foundation for the club's long-term athletic and financial development, including strengthening the sports management structure and first-team squad, continuing to develop young players, and establishing new commercial partnerships.

Regarding the club's future direction, QSI emphasized that KAS Eupen will maintain its unique character while leveraging its international experience and resource network: "KAS Eupen will continue to uphold its unique club identity. As the only professional football club in the German-speaking region of Belgium, KAS Eupen will continue to maintain close ties with fans, partners, and local stakeholders."

Currently, KAS Eupen's sporting director is Pasquale Sensibile, appointed by QSI, and the head coach is Felice Mazzù.

In fact, KAS Eupen's connection with Qatar dates back to 2012. At that time, the club was controlled by the Qatar Aspire Academy and served as an important development platform for young players entering European football. Following this transaction, KAS Eupen has officially become a wholly-owned subsidiary of QSI.

KAS Eupen ended its eight-year run in the Belgian top flight in May 2024, relegating to the Belgian second tier, and currently competes in the Belgian Challenger Pro League.

In addition to KAS Eupen, QSI has owned Paris Saint-Germain since 2011 and has also held a minority stake in Portuguese club Sporting CP since 2022.
