According to Doble Amarilla, Argentina international Mac Allister arrived in Buenos Aires to prepare for the national team's friendly matches. He spoke to the media at Ezeiza International Airport about head coach Scaloni's future, his contract situation at Liverpool, and Messi's retirement from the national team, among other topics.

The Liverpool midfielder stated upon arrival: "For me, Scaloni is a very important person. I respect him greatly and hope he continues to coach us. The team loves him very much and is proud of him."

Later, when asked about his situation at Liverpool, as the club has not yet offered him a contract extension, Mac Allister explained: "I still have two years on my contract, which is a long time. I got a bit carried away in the press conference and said those things, but ultimately the decision rests with them."

He added: "Personally, I'm very happy where I am and hope to play for a few more years, but if it's only two years left, I'm still grateful."

Mac Allister then spoke about Enzo Fernández, saying he hadn't chatted with him yet but was impressed with his performance: "Haven't chatted yet. We're close now, so we'll talk later. He scored a beautiful goal, and I saw he was very happy."

Finally, Mac Allister addressed Julián Álvarez's situation at Atlético Madrid. "Julián, I'm not sure if he's unhappy; people always have to fight for their dreams. His situation hasn't gone as expected," he said.

He continued: "I played against him, and when we reconnected, I saw he was in good spirits with his family. Every time he talks to me about Atlético, his attitude is positive. I hope he can bounce back."

Regarding Messi's retirement from the Argentine national team, Mac Allister said: "Gratitude. There will never be another player like him. We enjoyed so much with him by our side; he made us win everything. That will be an emotional day."

Looking ahead, he added: "This will be a different process, with many young players in the squad. We must accept the fact that we no longer have the best player in the world, the player who can decide games. We must become stronger as a team."

"I found out about it through social media. It was a bit surprising, but you could also see it coming. Now is the time to express our gratitude to him. He is the best player in the world, and now he will no longer be with us, which makes us sad. This is part of the process, and we must become stronger," he continued.

He concluded: "As a teammate, he is the greatest. Being able to talk to him, his humility will be greatly missed. We all love him and wish him all the best for the future."
