After coaching the Italian senior national team in two matches, Baldini returned to the Italy U21 squad. At a press conference, he discussed Frosinone, the dark horse of Serie A.

In Serie A Round 5, promoted side Frosinone defeated Como 2-0. Baldini said: "Frosinone won the match with their style of play, and they were facing one of the best teams in Serie A. I'm not criticizing Como, but I support Alvini (Frosinone's head coach), because Frosinone represents our football better than Como."

Frosinone serves as an excellent example of developing homegrown Italian talent, as they have achieved a good balance between young and experienced players. Baldini stated that head coach Alvini's experience is "fantastic and deserves to be rewarded."

Some of the players currently with Frosinone are young talents who have emerged at the start of this season. This situation is almost unusual for Italian football. Baldini mentioned young players such as Cissé (Milan), Emanuele Lulli (Roma), and Favasuli (Napoli), adding: "These kids were happy to see each other again; it was an exciting time for them."
