United States defender Emily Fox has signed a new contract with Arsenal, reportedly to run until 2029.

Since arriving from the North Carolina Courage in January 2024, Fox has made 93 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions, scoring three goals from right-back.

She has helped Arsenal win three major trophies during that span, lifting the League Cup in 2023-24, the Champions League trophy in 2024-25 and the inaugural FIFA Champions Cup earlier this year.

Fox played the full 90 minutes as the Gunners overcame Barcelona 1-0 in the Champions League final 16 months ago, with Stina Blackstenius scoring the all-important goal in Lisbon.

Fox, who has 78 senior caps for the USWNT at the age of 28, appeared in 20 Women's Super League matches last term as Arsenal finished as runners-up to Manchester City, starting 18 of those games.

Only Alessia Russo (1,832) and Mariona Caldentey (1,747) played more WSL minutes than Fox (1,605) for Renee Slegers' team in 2025-26, and she has also been an ever-present at the start of 2026-27, with Arsenal taking five points from their opening three matches.

"I'm so happy to be extending my stay here. This has felt like home since the moment I joined, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to continue to represent this club and compete for titles," Fox told the club's website.

"To be a part of Arsenal is to be a part of something bigger, and I feel like I'm in the best place to keep pushing for more."

Fox will hope to celebrate her new deal with a statement victory on Sunday as Arsenal go to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea, having been rested for a 1-0 Champions League win over Koge on Tuesday.
