According to the latest report from Marca, Raúl Asensio may need surgery for a right tibial injury. If the surgery is performed, he is expected to be sidelined for two to three months.

Reports indicate that Raúl Asensio has been troubled by a right tibial injury since the beginning of the year and will likely require surgery. The pain has persisted, and if the injury flares up again, it will probably prompt him to decide on surgery.
In fact, the possibility of surgery existed as early as the end of last season, when he began considering this option and used the summer break to shorten the long recovery period. He is expected to be sidelined for two to three months, which means if surgery is ultimately confirmed, he will miss matches until around early next year.
He used the three-week break to make a final attempt to overcome the injury and avoid surgery. He even hoped to start in the resumed match against Villarreal, as Heuessler was suspended and Konaté was injured (although all signs indicated he would recover in time).
In August, after recovering from a muscle injury, Raúl Asensio's tibial pain recurred. This issue has plagued him since January and has not healed, with conservative treatments proving ineffective, and numerous specialized training sessions aimed at relieving pressure and rehabilitation also failing to help.
Raúl Asensio hoped to be an option for Mourinho amidst the shortage of center-backs and earn the coach's trust, but the recurrence of tibial pain has left him no choice, forcing him to make a potentially imminent decision to get the defender back to full fitness.
