According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Antonio Conte is willing to accept an offer from a top club and is ready to take over immediately. Manchester United, should they decide to change managers, will consider Conte alongside Nagelsmann and Howe.

Romano stated that if Carrick's managerial prospects prove unsuccessful, Manchester United could turn to Antonio Conte. In an interview with The Athletic, Conte said he is monitoring clubs with a prestigious history that are currently underperforming competitively; this statement includes several major clubs, including Manchester United.

Conte is prepared to begin a new chapter in his managerial career. His successful spell at Napoli, where he won two Serie A titles, has reinvigorated him and strengthened his determination and ambition. He is willing to accept an offer from a top club and is ready to take over immediately.

Other potential candidates include Julian Nagelsmann (previously considered by INEOS) and Howe (who has Premier League managerial experience and an impressive track record at Newcastle).

Currently, there has been no contact between the parties, and Manchester United continues to support Carrick at this stage.
