In an interview with TMW during the Trento Sports Festival, Cristillin stated that he greatly admires Marotta and criticized how Paratici treated him. He also discussed Juventus's management in the past and present.

When asked which Juventus management personnel he most admired in recent years, Cristillin said: "It's very easy to name Marotta. A few years ago, he was politely removed, and then everyone saw how well he performed at Inter. His most successful protégé has always been Carnevali, who is a good friend of mine, and I have great confidence in him. Paratici? No, thank you. Especially considering what happened between him and Marotta—Marotta who had helped him develop. Some things relate to human decency, and he didn't treat Beppe well. Their idea back then was for the younger generation to push everyone out, starting with Ronaldo. But the last time Juventus broke even instead of posting a loss was in 2018 when Marotta was still there."
